A leather toiletry and wet shave bag built to be rugged and tough. Machine stitched with a heavy thread, and installed with a beefy solid brass YKK zipper for long lasting use. This rugged leather includes the natural range marks showing the character and life of the animal. 

There is no liner used on the dopp kit, as we didn't want anything that would eventually tear and fail. We suggest keeping items that could spill within a plastic bag. You can clean any spills with a wet cloth and circular wiping motions. Occasional applications of leather balm will help keep the leather fibers strong and clean.

WHAT'S A DOPP KIT?

Dopp kit is a term that originated in the early 20th century, originally referring to toiletry kits for men and World War II soldiers before later becoming a common term for toiletry kits, particularly ones made with leather or other high-quality materials. The word was coined by leatherworker Charles Doppelt, who patented the idea of "Dopps" in 1919 and marketed them locally before landing a contract with the US Army during WWII. Dopp kits were once a common gift given to young men as they ascended from boyhood to adulthood.

"I have been waiting to buy this dopp kit for a while now. I have several other items (port wallet/satchel etc) and I love the quality craftsmanship as well as the superior leather. I got 2 dopp kits. . . one for me and one for my teenage son. The leather is beautiful and incredibly pleasing to the touch as well as the eye. The seams, stitching, and small touches like the bevel edges on the handles are perfect. I got a large which accomodates my shave soap, and lather mug as well as my other toiletry items. I roll a bit heavy on the personal systems so maybe not everyone needs a large, but it's perfect for me. Highly recommend this product for oneself, or a great gift for a coming-of-age young person. I am super pleased with the quality and workmanship of this product, as I have been with all my products from this maker."

"Fantastic Dopp kit. I love the slightly larger profile that's just a bit shorter in height than normal kits. It allows me to fit all of my toiletries for a longer trip. But the leather... man, it's so well built. The only option I wish they offered was to have it monogramed. Other than that, this thing is perfect."

XL Dopp Kit

"Looking to replace my old cloth folding bag as it would always slide of hotel sink counters. Just purchased the craft and lore Dopp kit. I got the XL in dark brown and is really good quality. The leather is thick but still pliable and fits in the suitcase easily. The size is great for my razor, shaving brush, shave soap, 7 day pill container, toothpaste, brush and comb. Still room leftover for whatever. Zipper is heavy duty and will probably last longer than I will."
